“This appears to be the biggest Strawberry Fest Cullman has had in years, if not the largest ever.”

The wise staging of the Strawberry Festival in conjunction with the AHSAA 1A-3A State Track at Cullman High School maximized the City of Cullman as a tourism destination for out-of-towners. The event itself more than satisfied Cullman County residents with the incredible array of activities, events, products, foods, drinks and child friendly options.

Spectacular weather on both Friday and Saturday was a tremendous bonus that drove turnout to what was clearly record setting levels.

Noah Chappell of the Cullman Red Cross was the first to notice the extremely large crowds:

“This appears to be the biggest Strawberry Fest Cullman has had in years, if not the largest ever.”

The only downside? Well, it was a matter of demand out stripping supply. All available fresh strawberries completely sold out early on … it was a good problem to have for area farmers!

Rhonda Jamison and her husband Ted were up from Talladega County. They were here in support of their high school daughter athlete who was competing in the AHSAA meet. The couple was blown away by Cullman:

“We’ve driven through Cullman several times on the interstate, but we’ve never actually been in Cullman. Honestly, we are kind of shocked. I mean there is this huge track meet and just down the street is this incredible street festival. The City itself is beautiful, clean and modern. Plus, everyone has been so very friendly and welcoming. This is a super cool place.”
