The fourth annual Cullman Cluck-n-Brew 2016 came off exactly as planned Saturday. It was the all-afternoon and all-evening follow-up to the 2016 Cullman County Fair Parade.

Organized by the Cullman City Parks & Recreation Department, the annual community tailgate party featured 14 different chicken wing vendors who competed in the WING STREET COOKOFF, a contest to determine Cullman’s Best Wing.

College football games – Alabama vs Ole Miss and the Auburn vs. Texas A&M – were shown in the first-class game day tent. This temperature and the humidity-controlled tent were a very big draw among event attendees. It also served as a shelter for one late afternoon rain shower.

There were also a large variety of craft beers, other beverages and festival vendors rounding out the food beverage selections.

The highlight for youngsters was the well equipped Kids’s Zone which featured free inflatables, activities, and games, including a mobile video game trailer (hat was cool).

All proceeds from the 2016 Cullman Cluck-N-Brew went to CP&R’s Connected Park project.

There Was Concern About A Rain Delay or Wash Out (It Did Not Happen)

What rain? That was a rainstorm mid-Saturday morning. However, both the Cullman County Fair Parade and the follow-up Cluck-N-Brew 2016 went on as scheduled.

Mark Aderholt of the Cullman Lions Club confirmed two high school bands would participate in today’s parade: Hanceville & Holly Pond.
