Publix Delivers Whopping $54000 Cullman United Way Donation

Cullman Publix Super Market associates and Publix Super Market Charities have provided substantial donations to the United Way of Cullman County in an amount over $54,000.

This is Publix first local United Way campaign since they opened their doors in October of 2015. Their 2016 total well exceeded expectations and their annual goal.

Contributions from the 2016 campaign will benefit United Way of Cullman County’s 15 local agency partners.

Sammie Danford, Director of United Way of Cullman County is both grateful enthusiastic about Publix partnership:

As a result of this success, on February 20, the United Way board, staff, and volunteers will visit Publix to say ‘thank you’ in person. Banners and thank you posters will be displayed in the Publix employee’s break room. It will be Public Appreciation Day in Cullman.

Nationally, Publix Super Markets, Inc. surpassed their 2016 goals and raised $62 million for local United Way agencies. Located in only six states, Publix is ranked the third largest United Way donor in the WORLD!

United Way believes Publix’s continued support of their communities shows the “Strength in Giving.”
