Cullman Publix Super Market associates and Publix Super Market Charities have provided substantial donations to the United Way of Cullman County in an amount over $54,000.

This is Publix first local United Way campaign since they opened their doors in October of 2015. Their 2016 total well exceeded expectations and their annual goal.

Sammie Danford, Director of United Way of Cullman County is both grateful enthusiastic about Publix partnership:

“Publix and its employees have made an outstanding commitment to supporting United Way and Cullman County. We could not continue to meet the needs of our community without their generosity. We are honored and grateful to the employees who give back to the communities they serve!”

Nationally, Publix Super Markets, Inc. surpassed their 2016 goals and raised $62 million for local United Way agencies. Located in only six states, Publix is ranked the third largest United Way donor in the WORLD!

United Way believes Publix’s continued support of their communities shows the “Strength in Giving.”
