Expired Tag Stop Earns Jamey Arwood Jail Trip

Sergeant Chris Thomason and Officer Tyler Jackson of the Cullman Police Department recently conducted a traffic stop focused on an expired license tag.

The incident occurred along U.S. Highway 278 West at the Cleveland Avenue intersection in the City of Cullman. A Honda Accord was the vehicle in question.

During the traffic stop, Sgt. Thomason recovered various items of contraband from the vehicle:

• Methamphetamine

• Focalin pills (Schedule 2 controlled substance stimulant)

• Drug paraphernalia

As result, Thomason and Jackson promptly arrested:

Jamey Eugene Arwood (43) of Baldwin

Expired Tag Stop Earns Jamey Arwood Jail Trip

Arwood was charged with:

• Possession with intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

After his arrest, Arwood was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center. He was booked at that facility on a $15,000 bond.

Note: Mr. Atwwod has been charged with an offenses, NOT convicted of crimes. The judicial process following this arrest ultimately determines their individual guilt or innocence in regards to the criminal charge.
