Refresh-A-Room Showcases Total Cullman Regional Renovation

Almost 200 people filled the Colonel Cullmann Room at Cullman Regional on Sunday afternoon.

The occasion was the much-anticipated Refresh-A-Room OPEN HOUSE and Hospital Tour.

This event was the apex of a 3-years long Refresh-A-Room capital improvement campaign driven by the Cullman Regional Foundation. This event unveiled of the fruits of months intense planning, careful attention to detail and construction hard work.

Refresh-A-Room Showcases Total Cullman Regional Renovation

Over the last three years, the Cullman Regional Foundation has raised right at $3 million to restore Cullman Regional to meet or exceed modern-day standards of care requirements while creating a comfortable environment with modern aesthetics designed to facilitate a relaxed, less-clinical-feeling environment for patient guests and their families.

Patient care areas in need of restoration after more than 18 years of continuous use by thousands of patients and their families is now complete. Cullman Regional listened as patients indicated how important it is to heal in a relaxing, comfortable space that allows their family members and loved ones to take part in the healing process.

This Refresh-A-Room Celebration began at 2:15 pm with short, action-packed program that featured:

John Apel – Cullman Regional Foundation Vice President

James Clements – Cullman Regional CEO & President

Danny McAfee – Refresh-A-Room Campaign Chair

Maria Stanford – Cullman Regional Foundation Exceutive Director

In addition to the informative words of the above speakers, the attendees were treated to a spectacular table of light refreshments and a series of health and wellness booth featuring the various services available at Cullman Regional including Cardiovascular Services, Women’s Diagnostic Center Services and Hospital Expansion Projects.

In addition, small groups of 10 to 15 attendees were taken on a guided tour of the hospital with specific stops in the new patient rooms, the maternity birth rooms as well as surgery and outpatient area.

This gave everyone a chance to:

• View the newly renovated areas in the medical center

• Take guided tour through Cullman Regional

• Get acquainted with the hospital staff

• Celebrate the completion of the project

This event was open to the public and 100% free for all to attend.
