IMAGES Smith Lake Park Spring Yard Sale 2017

The threat of rain and thunderstorms did not stop over 3,000 bargain shoppers from attending this year’s annual Smith Lake Park Spring Yard Sale 2017 on Saturday.

Over 100 vendors lined the main road from the boat launch gate around behind the main stage all the way into the basketball court area. Sheltered pavilions throughout the park also housed a number of vendors.

This free, open-to-the-public gathering was as you’d expect; there was pretty much everything you wanted but did not need.

Smith Lake Park Director Tony Harris and his staff had the entire park looking unusually clean, organized and guest friendly after the long winter off-season. They rolled out a giant bounce house slide for the children and cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for all ages.
