Cullman County PALS Beautification Award Nominations

Nominations are due this Friday, May 12.

It is time to nominate retail businesses and industries in Cullman County for the 2017 PALS Beautification Award Nominations.

(PALS = People Against a Littered State)

Anyone can nominate a business inside Cullman City and Cullman County for the award. See rules below for details.

Nominations for Cullman’s 2017 Beautification Awards are due by 5 pm on Friday, May 12th.

Cullman County PALS Beautification Award Nominations

Winners will be publicly announced at an awards luncheon on June 22nd at Camp Meadowbrook beginning at 11:30 am. Tickets for the awards luncheon are priced at only $15. Freddie Day will cater the meal.

Cullman County PALS which it will issue twenty total community beautification awards at that time:

★ 10 Small Business

★ 10 Large Business

A Clean Campus Award presentation to schools that participate in the promotion of beautification and cleanliness in their institutions will also take place at the event.

In the past, the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce has driven the Beautification Awards nominations and balloting. That responsibility has shifted to Cullman County PALS in 2017 and beyond.

This year’s nominees will be assessed by non-Cullman County judges to ensure fairness and impartiality.

Cullman County PALS President Cherrie Haney is a many decade’s long advocate of a clean community:

“Cullman County PALS’ goal is to keep Cullman as clean as possible, year around. Our recent City and County clean-up events have been very successful.

The Beatification Awards takes that focus to a higher level. We hope these Awards invite and motivate Cullman businesses to become proactive helping put forward the best possible look for residents, other businesses and new industry that may choose Cullman.”
