3 Car Fatality Bugtussle Near Dollar General
12:10 pm Thursday Update: The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has named Johnathan Appling West as the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalie. West’s vehicle collided in this accident with a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2004 Pontiac Vibe.
8:50 pm Update: Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has identified this evening’s fatality motor vehicle victim as:
Cynthia West (43) of Jasper
The Coroner pronounced Cynthia dead at the scene.

Multiple emergency response agencies have converged on a section of Alabama Highway 69 in the Bugtussle community of southwestern Cullman County.
They are responding to a Cullman e911 call regarding a three-vehicle collision along the 15000 block of AL-69. This location is just south of the Dollar General Store in Bugtussle.
Personnel from Cold Springs Volunteer Fire Department were first to the location. They performed an extrication of the victim who was found unresponsive in one of the vehicles. CPR was immediately administered.
An Air Evac medical helicopter has been summoned to the location along with multiple medical teams from Cullman Emergency Medical Services.
Members of Arkadelphia Volunteer Fire Department are engaged in traffic control in area as well.
Motorists will need to make alternate travel plans in the area throughout the evening.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will begin a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the mishap.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has just arrived at the location.
