The WEEK 1 Division Standings are below.

Jason Grimmett, Vice President of the Cullman Youth Football Association, and avid Cullman sports fan and benefactor had these thoughts on Week 1:

“We have a great group of individuals that make up this Association. Cullman County Youth Football has many volunteers helping on the administrative side of things as well as a skilled, well-populated coaching staffs for each team.

We are also excited to have Cold Springs back with us this year!

We are looking forward to this being an outstanding experience for these student-athletes. We know it will be an excellent football season for all the young people that are participating.

I encourage ALL parents, family members and friends of the players, cheer squads and support people to come out and get behind your local teams. Helping these kids is what it is ALL about!!”

Here is an excellent example of some of the great coaching go on each week:

The WeeWee Division clash between the Cullman Cyclones and the Good Hope Outlaws was the Cullman Today featured CCYFA GAME OF THE WEEK.

We moved up in class this week from the FirePlug Jamboree featured game at West Elementary last weekend.

The WeeWee Division games of the Cullman County Youth Football Association at James W. Shabel Stadium in the City of Good Hope Saturday were super exciting in a beautiful atmosphere.

This game between the visiting Cullman Cyclones and the host Good Hope Outlaws was far closer than the 22-0 final score would indicate.

The difference in this game was a handful of long runs by the Cyclones occurring in just two drives. Otherwise, the contest was a defense dominated affair.

The final touchdown late in the 4th quarter was effectively a garbage time emotional let down on the part of the Outlaws.

The difference in speed, skill, and concentration moving up from Fireplug to WeeWee is significant. The coaching is also more intense, strategic and vocal.

Both of these teams are good. Great game!

Here are the final deciding moments of that contest:
