9:25 pm Update: Multiple ambulances from Cullman EMS have left the scene en route to Cullman Regional with injured; only one ambulance remains at the scene.

8:40 pm Update: Air Evac has just lifted off. By direction of flight, it appears they are headed towards Huntsville Hospital. At least one of the injured air-flighted out.

Emergency responders have been dispatched by Cullman e911 to a full road blockage collision involving three vehicles along the 13000 block of Alabama Highway 69 in Cold Springs.

This location is front of the Dollar General store.

Two of the vehicles appear to be part of a direct head-on collision.

At least five people have been injured. Some will almost certainly require air transport to a Level 1 Trauma Center either in Birmingham or Huntsville. A medical team with Air Evac Lifeteam 15 is poised to land in the space between the Dollar General and the old school.

Cold Springs Volunteer Fire Department personnel have closed Highway 69. It is likely this roadway will be shut down for some time into the evening. Motorists really should avoid this area and make alternate travel plans along 69.

Arkadelphia Volunteer Fire Department, deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, medical teams from Cullman EMS and Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are en route to the scene.
