The WEEK 3 Division Standings are below.

The PeeWee Division clash between the Cullman Cyclones and the Cullman Bearcats was the Cullman Today featured CCYFA GAME OF THE WEEK.

This contest is one of this league’s marquee games. It was played under the bright lights on the artificial turf at Oliver Woodard Stadium on the campus of Cullman High School.

In a classic battle between two remarkably evenly matched teams, the Cullman Cyclones narrowly defeated the Cullman Bearcats.

The entire game rested on big hits and ferocious defense by both squads.

The offenses for both clubs showed some skill and clear ability to advance the ball on the run play. However, neither team could sustain a drive that even sniffed of a score.

Other than that one game altering play, the contest could not have been closer. Everyone expected a 0-0 tie and overtime before late 4th quarter score that gave the PeeWee Cyclones (5-6th grade) the 6-0 win.

In this post-game interview with winning head coach Trevor Clemens, we discuss the one single play that won the game for the Cyclones. It involved a wild 37-yard run around right end for a touchdown by Jayce Johnston (17):

Both of these teams are good. Great game!

The Cullman County Youth Football Association has to be pleased by the competitive nature and big stage atmosphere of tonight’s game. It reflected extremely well on the entire league.

This gathering of coaches, staff, players, and cheer members epitomizes the sportsmanship displayed in most every CCYFA game:
