Sheriffs Office Keeps More High Quality Methamphetamine Off Cullman Streets

SHERIFF’S OFFICE KEEPS MORE HIGH-QUALITY METHAMPHETAMINE OFF CULLMAN STREETS; ARREST TWO ALLEGED HANCEVILLE DOPERS

Following a two-week long investigation by Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) agents, a search warrant was executed on County Road 565 near Hanceville on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017.

CNET agents had information that the homeowner and another suspect were selling illegal drugs at the residence.

Once agents made entry into the residence, they discovered ICE, a stronger and purer form of meth, marijuana, pills, and drug paraphernalia.

They received information later that day on where the other suspect was located. This man was arrested at a residence on Golf Course Road. As expected, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located at the residence.

As result of this investigation, CNET Agents with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested:

PATRICK JOSEPH CUNNINGHAM (37) of Hanceville
GERALD WILSON McDONALD (58) of Hanceville

CCSO seized a total of 45 grams of ICE (Meth), marijuana, pills, and other drug paraphernalia.

Cunningham has been charged with:

• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance – 3 counts
• Unlawful Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Degree – 2 counts
• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 2 counts

McDonald has been charged:

• Trafficking in Methamphetamine
• Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance – 2 counts
• Unlawful Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Degree
• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 2 counts
• Attempting to Elude

Mr. McDonald also an additionally bloated record with two (2) Failure To Appear (FTA) Warrants outstanding for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Cunningham is currently being held at the Cullman County Detention Center with $261,000 bond.

McDonald is currently being held at the Cullman County Detention Center with $258,000 property bond. $6,000 cash bond.

“This was pretty high-quality meth. I am glad we were able to arrest these suspects and get the meth before it made it into our community. I would also like to thank the CNET agents for the good job they did on this case.”

Mr. Reese been charged with offenses, NOT convicted of crimes. The judicial process following this arrest ultimately determines his personal guilt or innocence in regards to the criminal charges.
