Cullman’s Royal Technologies announced a groundbreaking Thursday morning on a new, multi-million dollar 165,000 square foot industrial expansion to their current operation.

The address for Royal Technologies in East Point is 230 County Road 1601.

Royal Technologies is an injection molding company with a large, rapidly expanding customer base.

This new industrial expansion should bring up to 50 high paying jobs into the Cullman economy.

Dale Greer, Director of the Cullman Economic Development Agency, acted as Master of Ceremonies for these groundbreaking ceremonies.

In a strongly positive opening, Matt Smith, Senior Pastor of East Side Baptist Church, offered a prayer and led everyone in the pledge of allegiance.

Jim Vander Kolk, President of Royal Technologies, then took to the podium to proudly announce this extensive industrial expansion project on the Royal Technologies Cullman grounds. One of the many essential remarks during his address was:

“We are enthusiastic about the future. Not just because of what we do, but also because we feel so comfortable living amongst and being a great neighbor in a community that’s second to none.”

Greg Canfield, Alabama Secretary of Commerce, made the journey up from Montgomery to provide congratulatory comments as well.

A full roster of Cullman elected officials was on hand to support the groundbreaking including:

• Senator Paul Bussman
• Representative Corey Harbison
• Representative Randall Shedd
• Mayor Woody Jacob

Also in attendance were Kerry Watson and Garry Marchman of the Cullman County Commission. Johnny Cook, Andy Page, and Jenny Folsom of the Cullman City Council participated as well.

In addition to local elected officials, nearly four dozen community leaders from education, economic development, government, and industry were part of the groundbreaking activities.
