On Monday, the City of Hanceville saw the opening of a new wholistically-oriented, primary healthcare clinic open on Highway 31 South.

The facility is called Hanceville Primary Healthcare LLC with an official address of 1009 Main Street NW, Hanceville, AL, 35077.

This new business will act as a primary healthcare clinic for residents of ALL ages and health conditions in southern Cullman County.

In this video, you can meet many of practitioners of Hanceville Primary Healthcare and get an intimate feel for what awaits patients in the new facility:

Did you know that most rural areas lack basic healthcare needs in the state of Alabama?

With more physicians choosing to specialize, Hanceville Primary Healthcare asks, “Where does that leave primary care? Who will be your family doctor? ”

Nurse Practitioners are individuals who have specialized in the delivery of primary care medicine by undergoing several more years of training.

Hanceville Primary Healthcare can diagnose, treat, and prescribe just like a family doctor. Nurse Practitioners are cost-effective alternatives to meet the demand of preventative services as well as any non-emergent acute care needs you may have.

Primary Care
First and foremost, Hanceville Primary Healthcare offers primary care to you and your loved ones. They can manage diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, high cholesterol, women’s health, and much more.

They also accept walk-ins for primary care at this time.

Urgent Care
Can’t wait for an appointment? Walk-ins are welcome for urgent care needs.

The new clinic expects to service up to 20 patients per day initially while accepting cash payments from patients as well as accepting most major insurance carriers.

What Is A Nurse Practitioner?

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) provide primary and specialized health care to individuals, families, groups, and communities in a wide range of settings from nurse-managed clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals to health maintenance organizations, workplaces, schools, or their private practices. Most have a specialty – for example:

Adult, Family, Pediatric, or Gerontological care, as well as other areas such as women’s health and psychiatric/mental health.

NPs take health histories; conduct physical exams; diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries; give immunizations; and manage high blood pressure, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. They order and interpret X-rays and other laboratory tests; counsel patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles; and refer patients to other health providers as needed. At least 66 percent of NPs practice in primary-care settings, many in major metropolitan areas as well as rural and inner-city settings delivering vital care to underserved populations.
