Cullman Elks Lodge Taking Applications For $1000 Student Scholarships

The Cullman Elks Lodge is now taking scholarship applications from any high school senior in Cullman county who is a U.S. Citizen.

Applicants will be eligible to be awarded the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship. There are three different scholarships available in the amount of $1,000.

Also, the top six applications will be sent to the Alabama Elks competition. This makes those applicants eligible to win one of 12 additional $2,000 Scholarships.

Finally, the top Alabama scholarship winner will be sent to the National Scholarship Competition and will receive one of these 500 Awards:

First Place – Two $50,000 scholarships ($12,500 per year)
Second Place – Two $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 per year)
Third Place – Two $30,000 scholarships ($7,500 per year)
Runners Up – 14 $20,000 scholarships ($5,000 per year)
Semi-Finalists – 480 $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 per year)


There is also a Legacy Scholarships available to children or grandchildren of Elks Lodge members.  These scholarships are for $4,000 each ($1,000 per year). Six are awarded annually.  Deadline for Legacy scholarships is February 2, 2018.

Scholarship applications are now available online for Elks Scholarships.

There are several scholarships available and all you need to do is go to, click on Elks National Foundation at the top, select Scholarships and then you will see the scholarship application options.

Applications are judged on Scholarship, Leadership & Financial Need.

Deadline to apply is November 27th, 2017
