Winter Wonderland Train Ride Sportsman Lake Park

by | Dec 14, 2017 | County News, Cullman, Interviews, Videos

In this train ride interview with Doug Davenport, you’ll gain insights into the incredible amount of am/woman hours that went into making this year’s Winter Wonderland of Lights bigger and better than ever before.

Davenport is the Director of Cullman County Parks and Recreation:

Sportsman Lake Park has many new, beefed up attractions for this 15th annual Cullman Winter Wonderland of Lights display. The massive array drive-through animated lights, figures, and themes are sure to catch your eye.

You can also expect to see a New Sleigh Ride that you can board for a leisure tour around ALL the lights in the park. This year there will also be a snow machine, photo booth and plenty of hot chocolate.

And yes, Santa Claus will be on the scene every night until December 23rd. He’ll also be out serving up Hot Cocoa and Candy Canes.

The Cullman Winter Wonderland Christmas Light Display is primarily intended to be a ‘drive-through event’. However, for Cullman County residents who wish to stop and get a close look in-person, the Sportsman Lake Winter Express Train will be available for those who want to take a ride around the park. (The train will run every night weather permitting.)

Additionally, for the ultimate Hallmark-like experience, carriage rides are being offered as well.
