Cullman Fire Rescue Saves House With Rapid Response

Firefighters from Cullman Fire Rescue A-Shift were dispatched early this morning by Cullman e911 to the 400 block of 8th Street SE in the City of Cullman.

The 911 call concerned the report of a house on fire.

Upon arrival at the location, A-Shift discovered flames visible at the residence along with significant amounts of smoke.

All occupants in the house were able to evacuate. There were no injuries to those occupants or to emergency personnel.

The fire itself started around 5 am in this quiet residential neighborhood. Cullman Fire Rescue’s response time was less than five minutes from initial call to arrival on scene. This quick action allowed firefighters to extinguish the fire before a complete loss of personal property occurred.

Cullman Fire Rescue Division Chief Brian Bradberry had these thoughts after the worst of the firefight concluded:

“We are working to take care of lingering hotspots and conducting salvage/overhaul right now. The good news is that the A-Shift did a great job making this a quick knockdown of the fire. We have no injuries to occupants or firefighters.”
