INTERVIEW Kenny Brockman Seeks 3rd Term On County School Board

Kenny Brockman is the two-term Cullman County Board of Education member serving the schools of the City of Hanceville and the Welti Community.

Board member Brockman filed his election qualifying paperwork this week. He will be seeking re-election on the County School Board for another four-year term.

In this interview, we ask the Mr. Brokcman to provide a self-assessment on his current term in office, how he will campaign during the coming election cycle, and – if re-elected – what his plan and goals will be for a third term:

We expect the remaining incumbents – Matt Gentry, Wells ‘Rusty’ Turner & Jason Speegle – to file their qualifying documents in the coming days.

The only real unknown involving incumbents rests with Senator Paul Bussman. He has been 50%-50% on whether to seek re-election for many months. He has promised to make his final decision public soon.

Republicans wishing to qualify should contact the Cullman County Republican Party.

Democrats wishing to qualify should contact the Cullman County Democrats.

If other candidates qualify, the Primary Elections will be June 5, 2018, with the General election scheduled for November 6, 2018.
