Cullman Police Officers Receive Public Commendations

Three officers and one dispatcher from the Cullman Police Department were honored at Monday night’s Cullman City Council meeting.

Assistant Police Chief Craig Montgomery, Chief of Police Kenny Culpepper, and Public Safety Alderman Andy Page presented the following members of the department with commendations tonight:

Officer Joey Duncan
Split-second decision-making skills allowed Officer Duncan to disarm a subject at Denny’s who was reaching for a pistol while being detained by another officer.

Sergeant Adam Clark
Clark goes above and beyond the call-of-duty both inside and outside the department. He often donates his own money to help with projects like Shop With A Cop, Trunk Or Treat, and Coffe With A Cop.

Dispatcher Sheena Sartin
Sartin single-handedly found a runaway juvenile patron from Childhaven. Impressive work for a dispatcher.

Officer Zac Latham
Latham received a 5-year pin for his loyal service to the department.
