INTERVIEW Captain Edward Potter Law Enforcement Officer of the Year

Edward L. Potter was named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year on Thursday evening during the annual Community Awards Ceremony At Cullman VFW.

Potter is a Captain with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.

Each year the members of this Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter select from a large field of individual entrants whom they bestow their recognition and awards in the following areas of endeavor:

★ Law Enforcement Officer of the Year
★ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) of the Year
★ Firefighter of the Year
★ Teacher of the Year
★ Voice of Democracy Scholarship Winner
★ Patriots Pen Youth Essay Scholarship Winner
★ ROTC Student of the Year

In this interview, Captain Potter explains how he came about being honored with this prestigious award. He also describes his role as head of Victim Services at CCSO, and how this benefits all the citizens of Cullman County:
