Coroner Kilpatrick Identifies Hannah Bates As Stony Lonesome Fatality Victim

PARK CLOSED THRU FEBRUARY 28th

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has notified the next of kin about the death of Hannah Bates (21) of Cullman. She perished in an off-road vehicle accident early Saturday evening at Stony Lonesome OHV Park in Bremen.

As a result of the incident, the Cullman County Commission has decided to close the popular off-road facility through at least Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

Cullman County Attorney Chad Floyd issued a press release around 9 pm Saturday night stating:

“It is with heavy hearts that the Cullman County Commission and the staff of Stony Lonesome OHV Park must report that one of our patrons lost their life today in an unfortunate trail riding accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the individual involved in this terrible tragedy. The Park will remain closed through at least Wednesday, February 28, 2018.”
