Good Hope Head-On Collision Shuts Down County Road 616

Emergency personnel from Good Hope Fire & Rescue, Cullman EMS, and Cullman County Sheriff’s Office have been called out by Cullman e911.

They are responding to a head-on collision along the 4500 block of County Road 616.

This location is just west of the intersection of County Road 616 and Golf Course Road.

There appear to be multiple injuries at this address.

Airbags deployed in a red Ford Focus due to the force of the collision. A white Crown Victoria involved may have been too old even to have airbags (they did not deploy in this vehicle).

According to Good Hope Fire Chief David Scott, it appears one of the cars may have crossed the centerline of the roadway perhaps precipitating the mishap.

Sergeants David Nunn and Daniel Cummings of CCSO are currently assessing the point of impact with a Trooper with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

County Road 616 is completely closed.

Motorists using 616 between the City of Good Hope and Golf Course Road will need to make alternate plans for travel over at least the next hour or so (7 to 8 pm).

Two medical teams from Cullman EMS are currently examining the vehicle occupants. Both parties appear destined for transport to Cullman Regional.
