This afternoon’s inaugural Irish Heritage and St. Patrick’s Day Celebration was a big hit and a great, páirtí sráide na hÉirean for the many Hanceville residents who attended.

This event was sponsored by the Hanceville Downtown Merchants and the City of Hanceville.

The historic and revitalized streets of downtown Hanceville played host to a scavenger hunt for some very nice prizes donated by Hanceville Merchants.

The Hanceville Bulldogs Band played Irish Music, along with an expert Irish fiddle player who ran off a marathon 2 hours set.

Most downtown merchants remained open for business throughout.

Tim Burney sported a lion-like red neckbeard. He was a hip, spirited, and authentic Irish host who kept today’s spectacle safely away from the Irish wetlands.
