Abi Long Named Hanceville Fair Queen and Miss Enhancer

Saturday was the start of spring break for most students at Hanceville High School and Hanceville Middle School. For several aspiring pageant contestants, however, it was instead a big day to see who would be named Miss Hanceville Fair Queen, Miss Enhancer, and Hanceville Junior Miss Enhancer.

The Hanceville Fair Queen Pageant had only three young women competing only two was sashed. Competing in the pageant were:

★ Abi Long – Miss Majorette of Alabama
★ Tess Brown – UCA All-American Cheerleader
★ Logan Yates – Outstanding Singer

After a spirited competition crowned – Abi Long – was named Miss Hanceville Fair Queen. Logan Yates took home first alternate honors.

Miss Long is currently attending Wallace State Community College in the Fast Track for Industry program studying to become a Paralegal. She has plans to become a Lawyer eventually.

Competing in the Hanceville Miss Enhancer pageant was:

Ninth Grade: Ella Absher
Ninth Grade: Katie Beth Lee
Ninth Grade: Ally Bice
Ninth Grade: Anna Tidwell
Ninth Grade: Jada Graves
Ninth Grade: Mollie Hall
Tenth Grade: Mary Grace Fuller
Tenth Grade: Kelly Pickett
Tenth Grade: Kenzie Ledbetter
Eleventh Grade: Tess Brown
Eleventh Grade: Abi Long
Eleventh Grade: Logan Yates

Abi Long wins again in this competition crowned as the Hanceville Miss Enhancer. Big night for her!

Tess Brown – Second Alternate
Kenzie Ledbetter – Third Alternate
Logan Yates – Fourth Alternate

In the Junior Miss Enhancer contest, only four contestants participated:

Sixth Grader: Raegan Edwards
Seventh Grader: Alexis Collins
Eighth Grader: Chandler Brown
Eighth Grader: Maci Howell

Raegan Edwards topped the field crowned as Junior Miss Enhancer.

Chandler Brown – First Alternate
Alexis Collins – Second Alternate
Maci Howell – Third Alternate

The pageants were held at Betty Leeth Haynes Theater on the campus of Wallace State Community College. All proceeds from the benefit support Hanceville High School library.

Mr. Kanaday is the first Cullman area student accepted into the Cullman Today School of Journalism. He is a student at Hanceville High School, and the proprietor of Cullman County Athletics.
