U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt is in Cullman this afternoon along with his family and key staff.

The primary purpose of the Congressman’s visit is to apprise himself on the storm damage sustained during last week’s historic hail storm.

Aderholt is currently receiving a guided tour with Sheriff Matt Gentry inside the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Jail.

Cullman County EMA Director Phyllis Little and her State EMA counterpart Darrand Cleckler are also directly involved in the review.

Damage estimates on both the Sheriff’s Office and Jail are now over $6 million.
