HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY Cullman County

This is a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service in Huntsville for Today (Sunday) and Tonight:

A weather system is approaching from our west will bring widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms across Cullman County and the entire Tennessee Valley.

Some of the storms could become strong this afternoon, with strong to marginally severe wind gusts possible.

Locally heavy rainfall is expected across the area with two to three inches of rain possible by Tuesday morning. This could result in rises in area streams, creeks, and rivers.

Winds will also become strong this afternoon and evening. Southeast winds of 20 to 25 mph, with gusts to 40 mph are expected to develop, especially in the higher and more exposed terrain of northeast Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee.

A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to after midnight tonight.
