Two Car Collision With Entrapment East Of Jones Chapel

7:00 pm Update: CORONER KILPATRICK IDENTIFIES FATALITY VICTIM IN THIS AFTERNOON’S JONES CHAPEL WRECK

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has identified the victim in this afternoon’s motor vehicle collision along US Highway 278 east of Jones Chapel.

The Coroner pronounced Robyn Cannell (52) of Cullman dead at the scene.

Our deepest heartfelt prayers and most positive thoughts go out to Robyn, her family, and friends.

Cullman e911 has dispatched multiple Cullman County emergency response agencies to a two-car collision east of Jones Chapel.

The location of the mishap is along the 9400 block of US Highway 278 West.

There is complete road blockage at the wreck site; motorists will encounter traffic stoppage and detouring traffic near this address. If you are traveling in this area, consider making alternate travel plans.

An occupant of one vehicle involved is entrapped in addition to injuries to other passengers.

A medical team from Cullman EMS along with responders from Jones Chapel and Logan Fire Departments have just arrived. Extrication of the entrapped victim is now underway.

A deputy with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and a Trooper with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are also active at the location.

Air medical transport is not possible due to weather conditions; the injured will leave the scene via ground ambulance(s).

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has been called to the scene for one person killed in the collision.
