Pilots Club Spring Fashion Show & Luncheon

Today was the much anticipated 26th annual ‘Material Girl’ themed Spring 2018 Fashion Show & Luncheon presented by The Pilot Club of Cullman, Inc.

As you can see in the accompanying photographs, the host venue – the Cullman Civic Center – was at full floor capacity with right at 450 paid ticket holders.

Pilot club President Katherine Morgan provided an emotional and stirring welcoming speech. She also acted as Mistress of Ceremonies; she did an outstanding job.

Administrative Professionals’ Day was a sub-featured theme for this event.

Several local merchants displayed their products and services:

• Belk (who provided many of the fashions worn)
• Be Blessed Boutique
• Better than Before
• Dixie Duds and Décor
• Jennifer’s Treasures
• MoMo She 103
• Mr. Hick’s Menswear
• Options
• Sweetheart Tree
• Tre Bellezze
• Younique Sophistication

Fortunately, the many sponsors of this event provided an unusually large number of door prizes … so, dozens of attendees walked away with significant gifts of appreciation.

It is believed this was the largest headcount of attendees for this event in memory. The event was a complete sell-out.

The fashion show is just one of Pilot Club of Cullman’s fundraisers each year.

The group supports the Pilot Light House.

This United Way of Cullman county partnered agency provides a foster emergency home where abused neglected children are provided a safe secure environment. It offers food, clothing, education and self-improvement skills.

The Pilot Club also works closing with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and their Project Lifesaver program.

Project Lifesaver International helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce the potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, autism, Down syndrome, dementia and other related cognitive conditions.

The luncheon was catered by Applebee’s.
