Part Of Winston Farmers Federation’s Political Forum

A monumental roster of local, state and national political candidates will attend Winston County’s biggest political event in recent memory.

The Winston County Farmer’s Federation conducts this mega-political forum on Monday, May 7 at 6 pm at the Double Springs Municipal Building. At least 50 different candidates are expected to speak, including Alabama District 4 Senator Paul Bussman, and Cullman City Council president and Senatorial aspirant, Garlan Gudger.

The always insightful and entertaining Alabama State House District 14 incumbent State Representative Tim Wadsworth​ (R) of Arley, will speak as well.

A meet and greet with candidates begins at 5 pm.

The official address is at 23415 Highway 195, Double Springs.

The annual event is hosted by the Women’s Committee of the Winston County Farmer’s Federation. It is free of charge to all candidates and the general public.

Light refreshments will be served. All candidates will have 3 minutes to speak.

Ronnie Mobley, the chairwoman of the committee, is super excited:

“This is the largest event we’ve ever had!”

• Governor: Tommy Battles, Scott Dawson, and Bill Hightower.

• Lieutenant governor: Will Ainsworth, Twinkle Cavanaugh, and Rusty Glover.

• Attorney general: Chess Bedsole, Troy King, Steve Marshall, and Alice Martin.

• Chief Justice, Alabama Supreme Court: Judge Tom Parker, and Lynn Stuart.

• Supreme Court Justice, Place 1: Debra Jones, Brad Mendheim, and Sarah Stewart.

• Supreme Court Justice, Place 4: John Bahakel.

• Alabama Court of Civil Appeals: Christy Edwards, Terri W. Thomas, and Michelle Thomason.

• Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals: Bill Cole, Chris McCool, and Richard Minor.

• Secretary of State: John Merrill.

• Public Service Commission: Chip Beeker (Place 2), Jeremy Oden (Place 1), Robin Litaker (Place 2).

• Treasurer: David Black and John McMillan.

• Auditor: Stan Cooke and Elliott Lipinsky.

• Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries: Gerald Dial and Rick Pate.

• Alabama State Senate, District 4: Paul Bussman and Garlon Gudger.

• Alabama State Senate, District 5: Greg Reed.

• Alabama State House, District 7: Ken Johnson and Proncey Robertson.
