Cullman City Councilman and Vice-President of Premier Bank of the SouthJohnny Cook – was on hand for Tuesday afternoon’s regularly scheduled Cullman City Board of Education Meeting.

Premier Bank is a strong advocate and financial supporter of the Cullman City School system.

Annually the bank honors worthy recipients with a substantial Innovation Grant Award. Cook presented those awards yesterday to:

Jennifer Crumpton – West Elementary
Priscilla Henshaw – Cullman Primary
Savannah Wood – East Elementary

According to Cook, these grants from Premier Bank have only one stipulation: the money must go into the classroom:

This year the winners indicated the grant money will go into technology for such things as robotics, STEM coding, and manipulatives for iPads.

East Principal David Wiggins accepted the grant on behalf of Wood who could not attend the ceremony.
