The Cullman City Council Meeting is held every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (unless otherwise changed) at 7 pm.

REQUESTS, PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, COMPLAINTS, APPEALS, AND OTHER 

APPROVED: A request from Karen Cook of Cook Ministries for a special event permit to hold a leadership prayer on the sidewalks around the courthouse for suicide awareness and prevention on September 7th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. 

RESOLUTIONS, ORDINANCES, ORDERS, AND OTHER BUSINESS 

APPROVED: An agreement to enter into a contract with Local Government Services, LLC for cable television franchise management services. (Resolution #2018-57)

AWARDED: The bid for the Airport Septic System to the lowest responsible bidder, Complete Construction, LLC, in the budgeted amount not to exceed $126,514.00. (Resolution #2018-58)

The cost of this project will be split with the Cullman County Commission.

ORDINANCE SECOND READING: To address unsafe and dangerous structures located in the city limits of Cullman. This Ordinance received a favorable recommendation from the City of Cullman Planning Commission. (Ordinance #2018-27)

This reading led to a unanimous ADOPTION of this Ordinance.

ORDINANCE SECOND READING: To annex property owned by Minuteman Construction located at County Road 702 in the city limits of Cullman as R-2 Residential District. This Ordinance received a favorable recommendation from the City of Cullman Planning Commission. (Ordinance #2018-29)

This reading led to a unanimous ADOPTION of this Ordinance.

ORDINANCE FIRST READING: To provide for the 2018 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday for the third weekend in July. (Ordinance #2018-31)

This reading led to a unanimous ADOPTION of this Ordinance.

ORDINANCE FIRST READING: To enter into a joint “purchasing” agreement with the Cullman County Commission. (Ordinance #2018-32)

This reading led to a unanimous ADOPTION of this Ordinance.

This Ordinance will allow the City of Cullman to ‘piggyback’ on purchases for similar needs for goods and services to that of the Cullman County Commission.

ORDINANCE FIRST READING: To amend the business license ordinance for the City of Cullman. This changes the number of Yard Sales from 2-day yard sales to two 3-day yard sales. (Ordinance #2018-33)

ORDINANCE ADOPTED: This ordinance makes new Director of the Technology Village Cullman  John Wessel – an officer of the City of Cullman. (Ordinance #2018-59)
