With Fourth of July celebrations just two days away, many people are making their outdoor plans centered around food, family, fun, and fireworks.

Several jurisdictions within the Cullman County have specific times and dates set for fireworks that must be followed by residents:

Sheriffs Deputies Save Life Of Cullman Senior Citizen

CULLMAN COUNTY

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry says there is no current ordinance set for shooting fireworks within the county as long as precautions and measures are taken to ensure that citizens are behaving safely during the release of fireworks.

CITY OF HANCEVILLE

Hanceville City Clerk Tanya Wilcox confirmed the specific times and dates for fireworks to be lawfully shot for Fourth of July Celebrations:

“On July 4th, after the hour of 5 pm and on July 5 between 12 to 1 am,” Wilcox said. “So, from 5 pm on the Fourth of July until 1 am on the fifth of July, it is legal to shoot fireworks in the City of Hanceville.”

Cullman Police Department

CITY OF CULLMAN

According to Cullman Police Chief Kenny Culpepper, within the City of Cullman, fireworks are prohibited by ordinance unless you have a permit to do so.

 

 

LARGE SCALE FIREWORK SHOWS

There will be several community firework shows including Desperation Church’s Fireworks Festival 2018 beginning at 4 p.m. at Heritage Park on July 4.

Smith Lake Park Fireworks and Music Festival is on July 4 from 8 am until 9:30 am. There will be activities throughout the day, and the fireworks show at 9 p.m.
