Big Grain Truck Downs Power Lines Blocks Highway 69 South Both Directions

Emergency responders from Cold Springs & Arkadelphia Fire and Rescue Departments, Cullman EMS, and the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office are arriving at a wreck along the 11000 block of Alabama Highway 69 South in the Wilburn community.

This wreck scene is very near the Eagle Pride Quikstop.

An 18-wheel grain truck is the focus of this accident with a wooden power pole severed and electric line down across the highway.

Traffic is halted in both directions; no vehicles will be allowed to pass until Cullman Electric Cooperative line crews arrive to disconnect power and remove the electric lines from the roadway.

The operator of the big rig appears uninjured; he is up walking around.

A Trooper from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is on his way to the scene.

Motorists in this area should delay travel or select an alternate route. This roadway will be closed for some time.
