Overnight Structure Fire At Guthery Crossroads

Cullman e911 dispatched personnel from Logan Fire & Rescue and Trimble Volunteer Fire Department to a structure fire just before midnight on Saturday.

Upon arrival at the address, firefighters found a single-story workshop on fire with visible flames and copious amounts of smoke showing.

The location of the fire was near the intersection of County Road 222 and County Road 831 in the Guthery Crossing community.

A line crew from the Cullman Electic Cooperative was called in to disconnect electric for the safety of all parties involved.

EMA Lieutenant Maurice Reynolds of Logan Fire indicated that “The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries to firefighters.”

The fire took over 2 hours to suppress and finish up.
