Woman Sustains Burn Injuries In Fairview Home Fire

Cullman e911 has dispatched firefighters as well as medical personnel to a structure fire in the Fairview community.

Just after 3:00 pm this afternoon, emergency responders converged on a mobile home along the 1200 block of County Road 1551 north of the Town of Fairview. Upon arrival at the address, they found a mobile home fully involved in flames.

This location is just south of the Cullman-Morgan county line.

Woman Sustains Burn Injuries In Fairview Home Fire

A female occupant of the dwelling appears to have sustained substantial burns to her upper extremities. A medical team from Cullman EMS tended to the woman’s needs on scene awaiting the arrival of a medical helicopter. The injured woman has just departed just departed the location aboard an Air Evac Lifeteam by direction of travel, they look bound for UAB Medical Trauma Center and likely on to the Burn Center.

Firefighters working the extinguishment of the fire represent Fairview Fire & Rescue and Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department. A line crew from Cullman Electric Cooperative has been called in to disconnect electric power for the safety of all parties. Deputies from Cullman County Sheriff’s Office have set up a security perimeter around the area.

Fire, smoke, and water have extensively damaged the structure. The home will almost certainly be deemed a total loss.
